Epitychology is "the study or knowledge of success." The Total
Success Center is the only place where you will find the secrets to
all success. Read on. Understanding total success requires understanding
that all living things and groups - people, businesses, communities,
organizations - are living systems. All living systems have key
characteristics in common:
- They are composed of multiple parts
- The parts are interactive and interdependent; a change in one part
causes or influences a change in other parts
- The system is also interactive and interdependent with its
environment; this is where its food, warmth, money, and other resources
for living come from
- Living systems have the ability to learn from experience, to adapt
to the changing environment and find successful ways to survive
- Living systems have a strong tendency to maintain inner balance,
called homeostasis; when the balance is unsettled, the system seeks to
rebalance. When you get hungry, you seek food. When a business loses
customers, it seeks new ones.
Once you understand these important truths, they place success in a new
light:
- Achieving success requires acknowledgement and nurturing of the
interdependent parts. You must nurture your body, mind, spirit and
emotions. Businesses must nurture their customers and employees.
Communities must nurture their citizens and organizations. And so on.
- The constantly changing environment requires that you constantly
learn and adapt, which means you must change to continue being
successful. Homeostasis makes us not like change. Understanding the need
to constantly learn and adapt can make change seem natural and even
welcome.
- To increase your success, you must focus on first understanding the
needs and requirements of other people or organizations upon whom your
success depends. They must perceive you as an aid to their success,
meeting their needs in some way, and not a threat or selfish
manipulator.
- To enhance your success, personal or business, you need to focus on
strong goals and envision them as real (present tense) so that your
system seeks to rebalance itself by achieving these goals. For you
personally, programming your subconscious can be very powerful. Learn
